Matteo Colafrancesco was born in Velletri (Rome) in the 1976 and after he spent his studies and his degree in law obtains in the year 2012 a Master in Tax Law.

One year later he completed successfully the post graduation course named:” Corso di perfezionamento in Diritto Internazionale Tributario dell’impresa” at the Faculty of Economics studies of Rome, University of Tor Vergata, Rome (Italy). He has cooperated as a lecturer with the chair of private law of Prof. Guido Alpa at the Sapienza University of Rome as part of a post-graduate course on consumer law. (equating the tax payer to a consumer in a completely innovative way at the time, intercepting and anticipating a modern trend).

In the year 2009 he was admitted to the Bar in Italy by the Court of Appeal of Rome. He was admitted as Member of STEP as Trust and Estate Practitioner in the year 2011 and since 2016 he is registered into the public register of the Trustee as Fiduciario Commercialista in Canton Ticino (Switzerland).

In the year 2020 he did obtained the CAS in Fondamenti giuridici dell’impresa as part of a Master of Advanced Studies of Business Law organized by SUPSI (Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana - Dipartimento economia aziendale, sanità e sociale).

He started his professional career practicing tax law in Italy (on both domestic and international features) and he was focused in the indirect taxation and duties laws and procedures and in the field of tax litigation.

He spent the legal training as Auditor of enterprises (under the surveillance of the Minister of Justice in Italy)

He joined to the creation of a tax and legal department that was active mainly advising and assisting HNWI’s. He worked along with many Private Equity investors and in many deals, dealing also with taxation of group of companies and taxation features of investments schemes for individuals, SPV and Trusts.

He was responsible to manage a local swiss desk active mainly in consulting and management of private client and companies with and international presence and with a specific focus on UK-RES-NON-DOM status individual’s.

He was the founder of MATTEO COLAFRANCESCO TAX AND LEGAL ADVISOR, a professional firm active in the consulting activities as  fiduciaria commercialista, with a lean and multisciplinary approach.
